Problem is the only viable alternative would be to raise taxes across the board. And I don't see that happening anytime soon, unless the Democratic party is ready to completely decimate their presence in this state.

"Historically" black colleges are running on empty in part due to a majority of their own alumnus giving nothing back. AND it is not a matter of how much they give in terms of money, but time as well. And unfortunately showing up at home games does not remedy the issue in full.

I understand Bobo's sentiment and can testify as to the issue of todays students leaving ANY university with less civility and oratory skills than when they first entered an institute of higher learning. Whether or not it is seen at a higher rate at any specific college is subject to anyones experience and the proximity in which they live to said college.

Laughable!!!!! I hope this drags out for years.

The Natchez Hysterical Society needs a good wake-up call and this just may be the one.

I would LOVE to see him counter-sue in civil court.

Regardless of what is or isn't HISTORY, it is "his" PROPERTY.

I personally hold no objection to the recreation ideology from past, present or future generations. But It is more about feasibility and an awareness of what the community needs.

We've had (and have) ball fields, tennis courts and swimming pools and where has it led us in terms of budgetary constraints. Now we want to throw good money after bad in light of one of the worst recessions on record. I personally champion nature over athletics and creating environment instead of additional temporary fixes.

I see the aforementioned project as a good investment in terms of year round tourism and recreation. The only issues I can see would be the continued ability to sustain such a diverse riparian habitat. Producing nutrient/input, reducing stream water temp, sediment filtering, erosion control, selective armoring, bank/channel stability, filtration and maintaing equilibrium are only the beginning and will require a major effort(s), but the payoff would last far longer than any recreation effort/idea/promise this area has ever created.

Crak...lin, your ranting rebuttal(s) have no basis whatsoever for the initial comment(s). Nice try, but unfortunately a half-awake fifth grader has better comprehension of sentence structure.

Reading is fundamental, not subjective.

via "Crak...lin" --->"It's a shame that you think there out to be a law. People like you would have us all living in padded room and using sporks. People like you make the nanny state possible."

How typically hypocritical that you would advocate a general administering of a swine flu vaccine to ALL, but fail to protect a child from an accident.

"People like you" make the nanny state probable.....and the use of a spork would be all too confusing for you to handle.

It's a shame that MS does not have even a helmet law in place for children. Most states require helmets while riding bikes for kids under the age of 16.

I've had my own bad experiences with trailers, extended side-view mirrors and truck-box surfing dogs!!

So, is this Greg Lee, ACSO deputy?

Open mouth, insert foot.

The questions of Arceneaux-Mathis should go along way to establish her current participation on the board.

If she did more than just show up for scheduled meetings she might actually learn something.

The NAACP is discriminating by definition alone. There's no need to cite examples, their mission statement or past history.

Someone please post any past award(s) given by this organization to persons not of the "african american" race or equally explain the reasons for this exclusion.
