First off, there is no such thing as a closet Christian. "If you are ashamed of Me before men, I will be ashamed of you before my Father..." Furthermore, just because you are affiliated with the christian religion, doesn't mean you are a Christian; Religion vs. Relationship with Jesus Christ. People claim to be Christians but are only speaking of an affiliation, not a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus says in Revelation to be either hot or cold, not luke warm. Luke warm is your "sunday christian," bar hopping on saturday night, "praising" God on Sunday, living like the devil during the week. The problem with society, among other things, is that there are a lot of these "luke-warm" christians (christian used loosely here) who are messing it up for the rest of us. The world looks at such as these and stereotypes true Christians as wacked out, hypocritical, fake people. Do you now see the danger in being luke warm. Why would a lost and dying world want to come to Jesus when christianity is protrayed this way.
