If it became illegal for a candidate to gather donations then a lot of really good people could never afford to run for office. That would make the poor people stinkards with no way to get ahead when it came to politics. Not good.

Way to go bear. You hit the nail on the head. Still, I don't want to see any of our historic homes lost for any reasons. I'm wishing your future the best

How about Southwest Mississippi? I'm tired of this area being treated like the stepchild of Mississippi. Just think of what $300 million could do for this place. Come on Governor , spread the wealth .

Now Plantation ,how do you get anything racial out of what I wrote? You know I very possibly could have meant he was a very rude person . You must have been looking for something.

An answer to the problem might be to fine an exorbitant amount of money to Dr. Vaughn for his neglect. Take the property for payment. Borrow money to restore the house. This would put a few people to work. Then raffle the house off with $100.00 tickets like they do in south Louiaiana every year for St. Jude. Pay off the loan with the sales from the raffle. Make one of the stipulations to owning the house that it has to be kept up historically and shown to the public during our pilgrimages. Ta! Da!

I've heard the horror stories and I've heard good things as well. These things can happen in any home . An orphanage, a foster home and even an average american home. People usually do the best they can when given bad situations.

Thank you Don for bringing our cemetary back to life. I know your book will be a huge success and I, for one can't wait to own one of them.
