A friend's lawnmower was stolen right out from under the carport at 9am one morning. It was found a few days later at the Vidalia Pawn Shop! The thieves earned themselves $30. It was two of them so between both of them, they didnt even make minimum wage!
IDIOTS!!! Good Job VPD and CPSO!
Now they get free room and board courtesy of US!

I remember when he came to Natchez. My Dad said he shook PZ's hand and remember that he was cocky and short... a real Mr. Tough Guy.
BUt I still liked him, I mean who can beat his coolness in "Road House". My favorites were "Red Dawn" and "The Outsiders".

I loved his spin around at the end of Dirty Dancing after he jumped off the stage.

Let us not interupt the Bible Belt. Let the holly-rollers be.

JUDGE ME ALL YOU WANT ntz123, from what I hear, GOD doesn't like people who judge right?
I am, by no mean, ignorant. Who said I have this "get mine and forget everybody else" attitude? You know nothing about me. But I know plenty about you. I know that you feel sorry for people who would rather sit around and eat, watch Oprah, burn money on fancy purses, and go to the Gambling boat with their Welfare check while their 5 year old is at home.
You go ahead and feel sympathy for them. If you want to help, then it should be you that helps. I don't want to help someone who is not helping themselves. Like I said before, and you selectively ignored, opportunities are everywhere. Maybe if you looked around, you would see that we are in the most prominant country in the world.
Oh, and I dont call myself a "Christian" considering that "Christians" came from a book written by man. I would rather call myself an individual who has been born with enough sense to know that human mankind matters no more than a bug on a windshield. All we are doing is polluting the Earth, screwing it up, killing habitats so we can live lavishly, and distructing species at an alarming rate.
Sorry if I busted your little "Christian" bubble.

Religion will be the downfall of civilization. On one size, there are Christians steadily believing that we are all God's children and we could never hurt one another so let's just keep having babies until we can't feed ourselves due to our exponentially increasing waste.
On the other side, there is Islam stating that anyone who is not Islamic is a sinner (and some believe they should be killed for that which explains where $300 billion a year goes).
Either way, we are doomed. So why even bother...

I agree with you on many notes mojo, I see where you are coming from. I agree with your views on government help. Nobody said I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth. Everybody has problems, but why cant we just stop and think about how fortunate we are RIGHT NOW to be in this country. What is wrong with it as it is (besides our ever increasing deficit)? Sure we are in a recession, but for the most part, we aren't starving, we aren't drinking out of rivers, living in slums, etc.
No, people don't tell God where and to whom they are born, but people know what they are doing. People should recognize what comes with having a child. Populating this Earth is not a good thing, and until people realize this, life will not change.
Look at Africa, if people were worried about AIDS and how it kills, why do they continue to have children just to watch them live a short, horrendous life. Why not turn to protection, or better yet, how about the goverment utilize birth control.
So devise a plan to stop allowing crack heads or unfit mothers to have babies, don't reward them by giving them free healthcare and Welfare. These people aren't equipped for having children and that is why our jails are full. Humans are animals, and just like every other animal, we produce offspring. Why should our offspring be any better than anything else?

That situation is sad.. but how would free healthcare help her out? Will it give her a place to live? Will it buy her food? Will it babysit her child? She was not refused care, and they probably just wrote off the balance.
I know your story is sad, but how is it any different from all of the stories during and after the Great Depression? People lived and thrived... sometimes it takes a while to get yourself established. Maybe she could get a roomate to help her pay, or save her tax dollars of which I am sure she gets thousands at the beginning of the year (being single, working parent). Or how about she get financial aid (which will grant her extra money) and go back to school to be an RN?
There are opportunities out there.
