After the treatment of Dr. Vaughn by the city folk, I am much more aware of the run-down condition of Natchez. Going into town the other day I tried to imagine myself a tourist and see thru' their eyes. Needless to say, the city needs to back off and clean their on door steps before they harass anyone else. And Edgin definitely needs to do some cleaning down by the post office. That is a terrible corner. But of course Natchez has been much better to Edgin than it was to Dr. Vaughn. Edgin became a millionaire, Vaughn had to move away to find work. What does that tell you. Vaughn's property is hidden out of sight, Edgin's is in plain view for anyone and everyone to see.

Leave it alone. TOO MUCH local, state and federal govt is absolutely going too far. Worry about and fix the things that need fixing. Like all these LOOPERS going up to four states to have legal addresses so they can get welfare, food stamps. voting rights and whatever else they can gleam. Why not work and put a stop to all that. IT'S PAST "HIGH" TIME TO STOP IT.
I, for one, am exposing all the ones I KNOW WHO ARE DOING THIS. So if you are one of these LOOPERS and get caught, it was probably me.
If all of you were caught America would be better off. Our grandchildren, great grandchildren, will not be burdened by having to pay for your greedy law breaking ways. You need to be put in jail and have to live on jail food for awhile. Maybe that would make a better person on you. I doubt it tho'.

Why not change opening hours all around.
Instead of 9 - 5
to
Noon - 8
Most workers don't grow crops anymore so why live by crop working hours.
Most stores have those hrs on Sunday, why not thru the week.

Most Blacks will put down a Repubilican and vote Democrat. Why I'll never know......They must not know who fought to give them the vote. Do you know Blacks had the right to vote before white women could vote???? Study up on your history people and find out for yourself that the Republicans are not your enemy.They're the best friends you have. I'm not a Republican but I'm definetly not Democrat. I vote American.
If you didn't know obama was a friend to the devil before you voted for him, you have to know it now. He wants to kill your grandma, grandpa and/or your aged parents and all your unborn grandchildren. How about that for the president of free America???????

If I remember right somewhere in the eighties was when all the meanies showed up and you couldn't trust the kiddies to collect their candy treats. But special neighborhoods are trustworthy now. No problms with meanies wanting to hurt the kids. I know they all had a good, fun time.

Hillside Manor so sorry, The first time I ever heard the name Craig Godbold many years ago, i silently spelled his name in my mind and I spelled it Greg. I've always tried to work on my memory (IT'S TERRIBLE) How silly of me for I have read numerous accounts of him in the paper and have seen his name in print and I still go back to "Greg". Thanks for calling my attention to that fact. I promise to do better.

Sorry,<<<<welcome to the jungle>>>>>>Since I don't live in the jungle like you do it is considered uncouth practice in many places. I would like to hope Natchez Democrat rises above all others. It's very apparent that Mr. Mayfield is your choice. Why I'll even take a guess that he's a relative of your's. I have lived in Natchez 40 years. I never heard the name Chuck Mayfield at any time until this election.
There have been numerous aricles and pictures of Godbold in the ND which i have read and I have taken the time and effort to study other areas of his life also. That's what I do when I vote for someone. There are a couple of others I pondered over but my decision was made with Godbold. No I am not related to him. I have read and studied about him. That's the extent of my relationship with him. I can only derive at the conclusion that you must be kin and afraid Mr. Mayfield might not make it for you to be so arrogantly against my vote. Instead of attacking me why not state your reasons and ask me to change my mind. Thats what a reasonable person would do. Instead you definitely made me realize I chose the better of the two men to be sheriff. Thank you for that.

rebelettebelle no-one could have spoken truer words. You described AC very well. Had I said the same thing mine would have been deleted. If you would read The Thinker's thought about my vote you know that's the true way the voter's think. They don't take the little bit of trouble to find out who's running for what. This reply to me is probably a kin person (mom probably) that considers just her/his self instead of what's best for the whole county. For him/her not to know Greg Godbold is her/his ....ignorance. A few dollars or maybe a bag of ? will buy a vote. Too many people have died to give me my voting privilege and I will not waste it on kith or kin. I only know Greg as a faraway admirer, not a close friend. Anyone who reads this news paper should know who he is. He does not talk or brag about his, accomplishments the paper does it for him. yet they tell only half the story. To protect and serve the people of AC is his personal goal.
