That's what you get for endorsing Pollard in the last election. You should have known better. Hope you won't make the same mistake again.

Did you know there was a link to this recipe in the New York Times? http://dinersjournal.blogs.nytimes.com/2...

Thank you, Ben, for making this available to those of us who were unable to experience this live. What an inspiring speech! I only hope we can live up to it.

Through your stories, Gibson has truly become Natchez's baby. We've all become attached to him. If it takes a village to raise a child, then Gibson has his village.

There are definitely some staff layoffs that are warranted, but this one is just plain dumb. The Grants Writer brings in money to the City. I'm sure they think they can contract this out - like they plan to do with grass cutting. Well, grants writing is not like grass cutting.
Mark my words. They will end up with significantly less revenue from grants, and they will spend more in contractor fees than they ever paid their grants writer.
When the City realizes their mistake, they are not going to be able to find someone of Brett's caliber again. We were lucky to have her, and I personally want to thank her for what she did for us.

If you're unhappy with the way your donation was handled, why don't you call the Director? As she always says, "I can't fix what I don't know about."

City Clerk Holloway insulted all of us in attendance. He passed out a piece of paper with the "budget" on it. Instead of explaining it, he read it to us. Does he think we don't know how to read? When he was asked to explain it, he answered one question and kept on reading. It was also amazing how many fairly simple questions he could not answer. And he's the person in charge of the City's money. No wonder we're in such bad fiscal shape.

She was the most inspirational person I knew in Natchez, and I will miss her.

Freeman will not be able to make up the difference with absentee votes. All us LOL (that's Little Old Ladies, not laughing out loud) vote absentee, and we LOVE Chuck!
On Brown assured runoff; battle between Mayfield, Freeman
