It doesn't matter where it was or what it was. My parents taught me that "if it isn't yours then leave it alone". Too bad there are so many that never got that lesson and feel entitled to take whatever they want.

The United States Constitution only authorized the government to count us every 10 years, not ask for all this detailed information.

If they are trespassing on my property and stealing my stuff then they will get everything they have coming to them. I know there are very few in this world who could truly say they were never told "if it's not yours then leave it alone". If they make a choice to cross that line then they should be prepared to deal with the consequences of their decisions.

Thanks for explaining the Castle Doctrine, Duckhunter.
As to the ones committing these crimes they have no sense of shame or any other redeeming qualities. They function only on a false idea that they are entitled to whatever they want and it doesn't matter who it belongs to. The simply have no moral conscience whatsoever.

Early Monday morning we had 2 vehicles broken into on Brightwood Avenue and major damage to a third vehicle who's windows wouldn't break. Not that the thieves will ever read this, but there are many of us here who are sick of these criminals. I hope their families understand when we exercise our rights under the castle doctrine to defend our property that we WORKED hard for.

I was shocked when I read about this. This couple live only one street away from my parents. What a horrible way to be reminded that we all need to be careful even in our own homes.
I see a lot of recommendation for guns but for those of you not comfortable with a gun then get a can of wasp spray and keep it next to your door. Cheap and easy way to defend yourself!
As to this scum that did this I would love to see them put in stocks outside the courthouse for everyone to take a swing at.

It's so rare that we get snow like this that the kids should be out so they can enjoy it. It's not like they are going to be concentrating on work anyway with the snow falling outside. Have fun kids, both young and old!

Mr. Eugene will be deeply missed. He was one of my favorite customers and I always looked forward to seeing him come in the store to pay on his bill on the 3rd of each month.

What a great tribute. Wish I had know to watch for it. Hope someone caught in on video to share with us.

Dixiecrat, I believe you meant Monroe Street, not Wall Street.
