I walked through the other day and they are really packed at the shelter. I would urge anyone considering a new pet please give them a chance. One aspect I have found over the years is the mixed breeds we have gotten have had far fewer medical problems than the full-blooded ones we had.
Remember they can always use donations of cleaning supplies, crates, leashes, pet bowls, aluminum cans, and newspapers.

Good gosh at the drawers that are in a knot today! At least there are a lot of you getting some exercise jumping to conclusions!
There is a lot more information needed before you persecute the mayor for not "putting Natchez first". Was there a qualified surgeon and operating facilities available at Natchez Regional? Remember the surgery room were being repaired due to the mold damage from Gustav.

$700 for a vehicle note???? No wonder we have budget problems. I don't spend that on my mortgage and vehicle combined and I get way better mileage than a Mountaineer.
Great changes so far but I hope they keep the ball rolling on this.

justhefacts, please don't label all of Natchez like that. There are many of us who still go out and work and then come home and help out our neighbors.

NatchezBell, ALL pets can participate in the events except for the Mr & Mrs NACHS. That's the only one limited to shelter animals.
My children and I usually attend this but unfortunately I am working this year and will have to miss it. It is so much fun and you would be amazed at the animals talent and costumes.

My mom had jury duty for a case that sounded really similiar to this one. The defendant even showed up for court with drugs. STUPID STUPID STUPID

Amazing that the city has been wondering about this for years, yet never did anything about it.

Seems to me that the BOS refused to hand out money to the city that the county doesn't have "in hand" yet for a vague recreational "plan". Haven't we gotten in deep enough with the credit mentality already?
On Adams County supervisors want recreation plan from city first

I have made choices that hopefully will allow me to ride this out until times get better.
As to the choice we all have to make in November, if Obama/Biden get in I feel like I will have to work longer and harder because more of my paycheck will go towards providing for those too lazy to work. I am really sick of the way things are right now. If you contribute to the pot then you should get to draw from it when you are unable to work due to disability or age. If you didn't contribute then you shouldn not be rewarded for sitting at home and making no effort to support you and your family. Just my opinion.
On Are you worried about any financial troubles ahead?
