Hendred, along with nine students from Central College in Pella, Iowa, ventured down to Natchez to spend their spring break working on the house.

Jason’s Body Shop employee Dustin Owen and Entergy employee Joseph Deer attempt to come up with a plan to get a Ford 530 pickup truck off the telephone pole cables Thursday afternoon at the intersection of D’Evereux Drive and Seargent Prentiss Drive. The driver of the truck was headed south across the intersection onto Seargent Prentiss Drive when he allegedly swerved to miss a vehicle making a left hand turn from Sergeant Prentiss Drive onto D’Evereux Drive, losing control of his vehicle and crashing into the telephone pole cables causing the intersection to lose power and breaking a second telephone pole.

Habitat for Humanity volunteer Charles L. Schlager, along with nine students from Central College in Pella, Iowa, ventured down to Natchez to spend their spring break working on the house. “We like to give students an option to serve over spring break,” Schlager said.
