FERRIDAY - Graveside services for Willie “Butch” Edwards III, 49, of Baker, La., formerly of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Lane Regional Memorial Hospital, in Zachary, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ferriday Cemetery.
Burial will follow under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Edwards was born Jan. 9, 1959, in Ferriday, the son of Willie B. Edwards Jr. and Gladys Tennessee Edwards. He was employed as a social worker for the State of Louisiana. Mr. Edwards was a graduate of Northwestern State University and a talented musician.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his father; his grandmother, Amanda Edwards; two brothers, Christopher Edwards, all of Ferriday, and Anthony Edwards of Sacramento, Calif.; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
