Two arrested for burglary
Published Sunday, June 28, 2009
NATCHEZ — It may have been the heat that motivated thieves to steal an air-conditioning unit earlier this month, and now two suspects are sitting in the air-conditioning — in jail.
Willie Earl Coleman, 26, 25 Elm St., and Ernest Tyms, 46, 111 Hictober St., were booked by the Natchez Police Friday on charges of burglary of a dwelling.
The two allegedly stole an air-conditioning unit on Elm Street, but an eyewitness later identified Coleman as one of the suspects, Natchez Police Sgt. Craig Godbold said.
After police picked Coleman up on other warrants, he was able to identify Tyms as the other suspect, Godbold said.
Both men were detained without bond Saturday.

Why didn,t they pick him up on his other warrants before he stole the air conditioner. They could have told his neighbors he had a inhertiance check coming and he would have poped up,that,s what they used to do years ago.

I was in a pawn shop few weeks ago and a police officer stuck his head in the door and said don,t loan anything to the 2 kids that just left out the door because they were arrested at Walmart the day before for stealing computers,so they were out on the street the next day. Whoever or whatever it is it ain,t working, the criminals just walk around in a few days doing the same all over again, hunting that crack cash.

I agree, natashakubelikov. We are having way too many drug dealers getting away in our community. There has been a warrant for a person in our community, for almost a week now, and the person is still here! Crack and other drugs are being delt right in front of our own homes, and we have children that play there!

Oh, I forgot to mention a Grand Larceny Report.

If the citizens of the county see drug dealings everyday in plain sight with their own eyes and report it,why can,t they stop it? I knew a crack house that operated for years in plain view of everyone,it was reported and nothing was done. That went on for years until the crack dealer died, when he died the cars stopped going to his house. So i just wonder why. If we see them doing it,why can,t law enforcement stop it,why aren,t they arrested when you pass them in neighborhoods dealing, doesn,t our law enforcement see them doing the same thing over and over, that,s supposedly what they are trained for. I saw it go on for years at that one particular house and i ain,t trained at all.

There are so many bugleries in our area the police have gotten tired of looking. When you read in the police reports there was as buglery at a residence they fail to say almost everything was stolen.
