NATCHEZ — A Natchez man was arrested and charged with strong-arm robbery Friday after allegedly punching a woman in the face and taking her wallet last Saturday.
According the Natchez police incident report, a woman in the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Street was approached by Sebastian Dewayne Cole, 19, 105 W. First St.
Cole reportedly began punching the victim in the face, which caused her to fall to the ground.
While still on the ground, Cole allegedly went through her pants pocket, taking her wallet, which contained $120 cash.
The wallet was later recovered.

What a "man"! Yep it takes a real "man" to beat up a woman and rob from her. Must be too hard to actually work for a living. Too bad she didn't have more in her pocket for him like some pepper spray or a good dose of lead. Too bad he has no respect for himself or anyone else. If he did this would never have happened.
I say turn him over to a bunch of women and let them beat him with their purses for a good dose of aversion therapy.

Turn him loose soon so he can slit somebody,s throat next week,or gut shoot them and watch them die.

The only answer to a reaccruing problem is total elimination and i promise you that works every time. If they rob, eliminate them,if they murder eliminate them,if they steal eliminate them. It would soon get around and it would work. Put them in the middle of Australia where they could bother nonone anymore.

NPD better keep this one in solitary.
Otherwise he may get some jailhouse justice.
Nuff said.

Is there one young man on the north side of town that isn't a criminal? If he is not in jail now, he has been or will be soon. Are there any fathers up there that live with all their children?
In the new arrivals section of the paper I seldom see that the "baby daddy" is married.

I bet this guy's mother is very proud! I wonder if he has beaten up his mother or other women. What a tough guy!

What's new Mr. Rogers? Just another example of our freedoms taken because somebody else doesn't like it. It might hurt someone's feewwings.
But I'll post my opinion on the change in minimum wage here...all those min. wage earners deserve it. The problem is with a certain local grocer who owns stores in every city within 30 miles. He's just a greedy gut who doesn't want his employees gaining anymore than they have to...it's digging into his greedy gut pocket, so..... he's either going to increase the costs for us or cut the employee's hours...how's that for being a self-professed Christian?

I was wondering that myself. I know I posted first and just said that the cost of everything was going to go up more now. What else was said?
BTW for anyone looking for a free kitten - we got em. Momma cat was left beside the road and made a home under a vacant house across from us. We have caught four of the babies and need to find homes for them.

Just throwing this out there to see if it holds water. What are the odds that a young, 19 year old male in the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Street happened to pick out possibly the only women in the area walking down the street who happened to have $120.** in her pocket. And apparently she knew his name! Now, just what are those odds? Don't get me wrong, what he did was completely wrong in the most severe way. I was brought up in a household where my father taught me early on that you never, ever lay your hands on a woman. In my home that is a cardinal sin. You don't harm your wife, girlfriend or daughter. The women in your life are one of your greatest gifts. Men out there, are you listening? I just find it odd that this one man, that she happened to know, had $120.** in her pocket on that occasion.

I've said it before & I'll say it again Natchez is not a safe place for a lady to walk, especially MLK Jr. St.

If Natchez isnt safe to you all, you might need to move out of the city to get a second opinion.

I don't need a second opinion the ND tells everything that I need to know.

Yes the ND is the last (and only) word on telling things the way they are. And that is not a compliment. How about some community input as to why Natchez is in the state it's in. Blue collar crime is just as repulsive, Madoff was white educated and still ripped off everyone in his sight. If the population of Natchez would work hand in hand with better education for its children, be color blind to crime and figure out how to change from within rather than continuously spew ignorant rhetoric maybe solutions would be more forth coming on all sides.

The ND has an agenda; they only remove certain comments, and leave behind others that are just as offensive. It never fails to amaze me that these comments are a window to the world of the way "some" in this city feel. Over and over it's stated by locals how they "love" Natchez but repeatedly show the world their true feelings, any wonder why Natchez is fading away into anti-bellum oblivion. At least once a week or more comments are disabled on stories because they become confrontational. The ND should only disable comments that are libelous. Let the outside see what "some" of our good people really think

Thanks Teach!
Hardcorps, as to the "baby daddy" what is the incentive to name him? Our government will pay for the baby with a check every month if there is no "man" in the house to provide. Thanks to that all of the hardworking folks get to "pay to raise" the new babies leaving less money in their checks for their own children's needs. Crappy system but unless there is a major overhaul then you will continue to see the next generation being taught how to work the system so they have no personal accountability. It's a shame that we have a system that rewards those who do nothing and places heavier burdens on those who try to take care of their own families.
As to the minimum wage and the grocery store owners, that's not anti-Christian that's business. In our business gas prices greatly affect our prices so either we had to raise prices on merchandise or start charging for our free services. Before you put a family down for owning all those stores, stop and think what would happen if there was no competition in the area. A national store wouldn't have any incentive to "lower prices" and they could charge what they wanted. How would that affect everyone's bottom line at the register? Just something to think about before you put down a local business owner.

Yeah but why doesn't the ND report the blue collar crimes that are rampant in the city? Why do they only report on contorversial stories? Why doesn't the ND offer up any real solutions? Why isn't the ND as diverse and the stories as diverse as the people they are providing newspapers to?

Fine upstanding citizen. Thanks again Katrina......

Katrina is over, Natchez has it's own home grown wife beaters, murderers, blue collar crime, drunks, drug addicts and lovely people like greenteeth. Get over blaming the crime in this town on everybody and everything but where the blame belongs. Poor community relations, lack of jobs and poor education. If your going to complain offer solutions.
