Local students named to dean’s, presidents lists at MSU

STARKVILLE — At the completion of the spring 2009 semester, 14 local students were named dean’s scholars at Mississippi State University.

Dean’s list students achieved a grade-point average between 3.5 and 3.79 based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of course work with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.

Bruce P. Brumfield, Molly M. Butts, Cage M. Cruise, Charles H. Emrick, Lee M. Guedon, Matthew N. Guedon, Michelle L. Guedon, Erin O. Hyatt, Beverly K. McKinley, Matthew Parson, Catherine H. Porter, Charles A. Powers, Sarah V. Powers and Layforn Profice were all listed on the dean’s scholar list.

At the completion of the spring 2009 semester, 21 local students were named president’s scholars at Mississippi State University.

Students on the president’s list achieved a 3.8 or better grade-point average on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of course work with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.

Spring and Matthew L. Young
