It's time to dress up the eyesores

With Fall Pilgrimage beginning, I have a suggestion that might make Natchez look a little more like it has its act together.
The traffic barrel that has intruded into the intersection of Franklin and Pearl streets for the better part of this year appears to be going nowhere in the next few weeks.
So, perhaps one of the garden clubs would volunteer to drape a hoop skirt over it so it looks like it belongs there. Just a thought.
