What in the WORLD is happening?

This is what happens when you play teams outside of the SWAC !

My Lord what is going on at Alcorn? Alcorn has made so many changes with the way they are treating their staff and so on. Alcorn will not have any luck or have a bright future with success until you treat people the way they need to be treated. You all have fired so many! and for what? A coach who didn't know how to play football when he attended Alcorn, and now he is the headed coach. He is sinking the Braves down even lower then they have been in the past. No one is attending the home games, so there is plenty of parking space. Oh, I forgot the President and the head coach are really good friends so his job will last, even if he has the worst record in history.

Maryhelpme, why don't you take your concerns to the University. If you're an Alcornite, instead of being critical at this stage, why don't you offer some type of encouragement. Change doesn't come over night!

I agree incognito. Alcorn needs to make some forward and upward progression and it has to start somewhere. If some has to be pushed out in the process then so well. No one should be in a position for 3 generations. The staff has become very relaxed and treat the students horribly. The professional business of Alcorn is a must and if Dr Ross can shake some attitudes then go Dr Ross.
If you are an Alcornite and an active alum, then take your comments or concerns to your local alumni chapter or the national chapter on campus.

lets fill the stadium so we wouldn't have to play these so called money games. Troy and New Mexico State should bring the program $300,000.00 to $400,000.00

I have come to find out that the best coaches are those who were not the superstars!!! The best coaches are the ones who have the intellect to lead, strategize, and implement game plans; they are the ones who understand and study the game and make it better for those who coach. You give Coach Jones and his staff time to recruit his type of players to fit his scheme and things will be different. If you saw their first home game it is already a difference in the attitude and conditioning of the players but a new scheme is hard for anyone to learn overnight I don't care what level you play on. Continue fighting Braves, it will be get better and let the nay sayers do what they do best--HATE!!!!

It's not like Troy is a pushover. They have actually played spoiler a couple of times with BCS-conference teams. They have been on ESPN for several Thursday night games including an upset of (I'm 99% sure) Oklahoma St. They are scheduled to play LSU this year in Tiger Stadium (it got rescheduled because of Gustav).

As far as the new president, I can say as a student at Alcorn that I am very impressed with the changes that have been implemented on campus. Things are being ran with a sense of professionalism. A microcosm of the change is the campus police. Very professional.

I was at the Troy game.....Yeah, we need some work on offense...Defense will carry us.....They held their own....But I know that we are rebuilding and I still believe that it will come down to US and that other school vying to be in da Ham!! You only get better wen you play quality schools.....Being scared to play top-notched schools gets you no where! Troy wasn't always a powerhouse! Thru the years, they just got better by playing better schools. Today, it reflects in their program! Alcorn will get better. If we can get our fans to stop being "fair-weather," there is no stopping us! Complaints are worthless if you are not in any chapter or don't help financially when called upon! I support Alcorn whenever and however I can...I fly my Alcorn flags proudly every Saturday and will be in attendance at as many games as possible!

The new administration IS awesome!!! They got rid of all the dead weight holding down the reservation!!! Just look out.....The campus will be awesome in years to come!! Go Braves!!! Take it ONE GAME AT A TIME!!
