Student found dead at Madison High

TALLULAH (AP) — The Madison Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the apparent gunshot death of a high school student.
The body was found Thursday in a field house at Madison Parish High School. Parish schools superintendent Samuel Dixon said the head football coach was in a field house working when he noticed a student standing in an adjacent field house. When the coach began walking toward the other field house he heard a loud pop.
It was at that point the ninth-grade student was found dead. The student's identity has not been released.

Hopefully they will NOT use Dr. Steven Haynes in Jackson
for an autopsy as some northeast Louisiana coroners do.

skippydamit, read your referal and I can only presume that it is only part of why Mississippi is at the bottom of the bucket as for as the rest of the U.S. is concerned. Only in Ms. can things like this go on.

Dear Destiny, if I make no mistake, this school is located in Louisianna not Mississippi. This is a tragic story no matter where its occurrance. Our children should not just feel save but be save at any and all school campuses. My prayers are with the parents and the family of this young victim. This tragedy could take place in either of our fifty states.
