Congratulations I think.
BUT,
EXACTLY how many OTHER newspapers does the Democrat compete against in the ".....daily newspapers with circulations between 9,000 and 20,000..." category ?
Each year we hear about the Democrat winning awards in competition(s) against other newspapers.
IF the competition is against a LOT of other newspapers, then
CONGRATULATIONS.
However, IF the competition is against only a FEW other newspapers,
then NOT SO MUCH on the congratulations.
Do the numbers of papers involved vary according to the category
of award(s)? If so, how many for the categories ?
So, my question remains,
EXACTLY how many other newspapers does the Democrat compete against?
Mr. Editor ? "Staff Reports" ? Anyone with the number?
Thank you.
:)
p.s.
I personally think the EDITORIALS are great when they keep the
politicians on their toes ! Thanks for looking out for us guys/gals !

They forgot to add the "Most stories continued on another page-yet they're nowhere to be found!"

Yaaaaaaaaaaaa! Way to go! I feel you deserve the award regardless of who the competition is. A win is a win, no matter how you ice that cake! Congratulations.

The Democrat's category includes the following newspapers:
The Vicksburg Post
The Commercial Dispatch (Columbus)
The Meridian Star
The Daily Mississippian (Ole Miss)
The Enterprise-Journal (McComb)
Delta Democrat Times (Greenville)
In the FOI and the Web site categories the newspaper competes against all dailies in the state ... including The Clarion-Ledger and The Sun Herald.
Thanks
Julie

What about the "Most Made-Up Facts in a Single Story" award? They should have placed first in the nation on that one.

To All : Besides my 1st Posting, I would like to have all of the negative postings on my staff and employed by me, because I would fire all of you! Try and have a restful night and look at yourself in the mirror in the morning and tell yourself tht you were sorry to make the shameful comments!
