Engagement: Larsen and Burns

Mr. Arthur Bertel Larsen of Tinton Falls, N.J., and Mrs. Eleanore Ann Larsen of Dunedin, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Karin Louise Larsen to Eric Brady Burns, son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Parnell Burns Jr. of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Duke University and was a recipient of the William J. Fulbright Scholarship which allowed her to study in India. She also has a master’s degree from Harvard University as well as a master of business administration degree from Edinburgh Business School. She is employed as the U.S. representative for the Masdar City Initiative in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Joseph Bognar and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Larsen of Parma, Ohio.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez and a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is also a graduate of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif., with a bachelor of science degree in product design. He is employed by Frog Design, Inc., in San Francisco as an interaction designer.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Parnell Burns Sr. of Natchez and the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Luther Riley of Jackson.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Jefferson Street United Methodist Church in Natchez. A reception will follow at Dunleith Historic Inn.

Engagement: Lynch and Phipps

Tonya Givens and Rachel Brown, both of Houston, Texas and Dallas, announce the engagement of their mother, Mattie Lynch to Coy Phipps, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Otis Phipps of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Margaret Lynch and the late James Lynch of Sibley.

A private ceremony will be Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009.

Ms. Rebecca Pace announces the engagement of her daughter, Devin Frances Lackey to James David Gammill II, son of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Gammill, all of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School in Natchez and a graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman. She is employed by Cathedral Elementary School in Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. Frank Ivey Lackey Jr., and the late Ava Clydene Lackey and James Doyle Pace, all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Day School in Natchez and a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville. He is the owner of Fat Mama’s Tamales in Natchez.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.V. “Buddy” Davis of Natchez and the late Mr. Gordon Gammill and the late Mrs. Ollie Gammill.

Crystal J. Jeffus of Natchez announces the engagement of her daughter, Bridget Anne Bumgardner to Nicholas Ray Crouch, son of Randy and Vicky Crouch of Des Arc, Ark.

The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Morris Mills Bumgardner of Natchez.

She is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School and a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Ala. She is employed by St. Bernard’s Medical Center through Therapy Providers in Jonesboro, Ark., as a speech pathologist.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Jennings Sr., the late Eloise Campbell Jennings and the late Mr. and Mrs. Morris Bumgardner Sr., all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Des Arc High School and a graduate of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. He is employed by Strike Zone PrecisionAg in Jonesboro as a crop consultant.

He is the grandson of Maynard and Betty Hammack of Winston-Salem, N.C., and the late John and Hazel Crouch of Des Arc.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rayford Allred and Mr. and Mrs. James R. Chandler, all of Vidalia.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Prairie View Academy in Bastrop and will receive his bachelor of business administration degree in aviation in December 2009, from the University of Louisiana in Monroe. He is employed by Sears in Monroe.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Tipton Blackard and Mrs. Wayne Bankston and the late Mr. Bankston, all of Bastrop.

Mr. and Mrs. Mark M. Miller of Vidalia and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond A. Gill of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Kacie Lynette Gill to Jared Earl Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Smith of Franklinton, La.
