NATCHEZ — A Natchez woman was found dead in her home on Pond Meadow Road Sunday evening.

Adams County Coroner James Lee said Brooke Tatum Turner, 26, was discovered unresponsive by her husband Sunday. He called 911. She was pronounced dead on arrival at approximately 8:55 p.m. at her home, Lee said.

“I am very baffled by this case,” he said. “She was a very young woman with her whole life ahead of her. My prayers and heart go out to this family.”

Lee said an autopsy will be requested at the Mississippi State Crime Lab to assist in determining the cause and manner of death.
