NATCHEZ — A single-vehicle crash late Friday caused damage to utility poles and knocked out power briefly in South Natchez.
Natchez Police Chief Cal Green said a woman had a medical issue and had an accident that damaged several poles on U.S. in the area between Col. Pitchford and Live Oak at around 11 p.m. Friday.
Green said the driver was transported to the hospital but did not know her condition at this time.
At the time of the outage, Entergy reported approximately 355 customers were affected. Power was restored to those customers by morning, however linemen are still on scene making repairs.
A detour was set up on U.S. 61 at 7 a.m. Saturday while crews were out working.
