NATCHEZ — Services for Clarence Allen McQuarters, 34, of Las Vegas, formerly of Natchez, who died Friday, June 10, 2016, in Las Vegas, will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifton Marvel officiating. 

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mr. McQuarters was born May 6, 1982, in Natchez, the son of Clarence Edward McQuarters and Joyce McQuarters Griffin.

He was educated in the Natchez-Adams School District and Chamberlain Hunt Military Academy. While living in Natchez, he accepted Christ at Word of Faith Christian Center. In 2001, he moved to Las Vegas.

Clarence was employed by RTC Transportation.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruby Reed, Joe Anderson and Murlee Anderson; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Isabelle McQuarters.

Survivors include his mother and her husband, Franklin Griffin; his father; an adoring daughter, Kennedy Ciara McQuarters of Las Vegas; one son, Sheraun Chatman of Las Vegas; three brothers, Timothy McQuarters of Dallas, Travis Payne Griffin and wife, Pamela, of Birmingham, Ala., and Franklin Griffin and wife, Vee, of Las Vegas; two sisters, Tanya Griffin and Sonya Griffin, of Chicago; a special uncle, Allen Reed of Las Vegas; special cousins, Dalvis and Torrey Anderson of Atlanta; six uncles, Adolph Reed, Alexander McQuarters and wife, Janice, Alvin McQuarters and wife, Georgia, Myron McQuarters and wife, Roberta, Joey Anderson and Joe Anderson Jr. and wife, Shawanda; five aunts, Angela Broussard, Joann Proctor, Katherine McMorris and husband, Charles, Katie Anderson and Sonya Davis; and a number of great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
