FERRIDAY — It was a long night for the Ferriday Trojans as they were stunned by the Richwood Rams 41-14 at Melz Field Friday night.
“Richwood came to play. They beat us where it counts —– in the trenches. Their offensive and defensive lines just came to play,” Ferriday head coach Cleothis Cummings III said. “That just proved to us that we need a lot of work.”
Ferriday (2-2) hosts West St. Mary for homecoming at 7 p.m. next Friday.
Bolton 39, Vidalia 14
ALEXANDRIA, La. — Vidalia led Bolton 14-12 midway through the second quarter before the Bears scored 27 unanswered points en route to a 25-point win over the Vikings Friday night.
Darius Thompson scored on a long kickoff return that gave the Vikings their 2-point lead. That would be the last points Vidalia would score as Bolton went on a tear.
Vidalia (2-2) hosts St. Frederick at 7 p.m. Friday for homecoming.
