NATCHEZ — The Natchez Police Department is investigating a house burglary during which a large amount of jewelry was reportedly stolen.

Natchez Police Detective Jerry Ford said the burglary happened on South Rankin Street and was discovered Saturday by the homeowner when he returned from an out-of-town trip.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $250 reward that is being matched by the victim for tips about the burglary.
