NATCHEZ — Sue Stedman, vice president of Crye-Leike Stedman Realtors recently announced the addition of Melanie Sojourner as sales associate to the company sales force.

Sojourner graduated from Louisiana State University with majors in speech communications and animal science, after which she served as the director of member services for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association in Denver for eight years. More recently she worked as a 4-H associate for Mississippi State University.

She has experience in corporate marketing, contract business development and as a small business owner.

She was elected to the Mississippi State Senate in 2011.

“We couldn’t be more pleased than to welcome Melanie to our sales staff,” Stedman said. “Her energy and business experience will make her a perfect fit for our business.”

Sojourner is the mother of two children, Dayne and Kaelin. They are members of First Baptist Church of Natchez.
